Job Description
Main responsibilities:
Capture transactions in accounting records.
Perform reconciliations.
Perform bookkeeping to trial balance.
Interpreting clients’ accounting records and compiling annual financial statements (IFRS for
SME’)
Performed tax calculations and completed income tax returns and provisional tax returns.
Perform VAT and PAYE calculations to submit returns on E-filing.
Assist Accountants with various client matters, including administrative work.
Resolve queries.
Performing tasks required in terms of the SAIPA competency framework.
Any other tasks related to the role.
Requirements:
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Be very comfortable with, and have a general understanding of, computers and software, with
an ability to learn new software quickly.
Have a working knowledge of Word and Excel. Experience with Draftworx, Xero, and Pastel is
advantageous but not required.
Have solid analytical ability and work well under pressure while maintaining high levels of
accuracy and quality of work.
Be deadline-driven and able to work independently without constant supervision.
Have a strong desire to learn and develop in the position in line with furthering your traineeship.
Great bill of health, both physically and mentally.
Be studying towards or possessing a BCom Degree or similar qualification.
Valid Driver’s license (will be a great advantage) and own reliable transport
