Job Description:

NDMA invites applications from persons having requisite qualification and experience from Indian national for following positions. Measurable Tasks (To be measured every quarter) Prepare Reports on International Relations in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction including preparing standard framework for strengthening international Relations and coordination; Provide technical support and attend workshops, conferences, seminars, etc. as and when required under the broad framework of international cooperation;

Pay Scale:

Rs.75’000 – 1,00,000/- for Consultant Grade I , Rs.1,25,000 – 1,75,0001- for Consultant Grade II and Rs.2,00,000/- 2’50’000/- for Senior Consultant. Remuneration in respect of retired Government employee will be fixed as per Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure O.M. No. 3-2512020 E.lll.A dated 09th December, 2020.

Age Limit:

Sr. Consultant(Nuclear &Radiological) : 62 years

Consultant Grade- II( Intonational Cooperation) : 50 years

Consultant Grade -ll (Mock exercises &Incident Response System) : 50 years

Consultant Grade -ll (Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction ) : 50 years

Consultant Grade-l/ Grade-ll (Earthquake and Tsunami) : 45 years

Consultant Grade-l/ll (Cyclone) : 45 years

Consultant Grade-l (Chemical) : 45 years

Consultant Grade-l (Operations) : 45 years

Education/Qualification:

Sr. Consultant(Nuclear &Radiological) : Post graduate degree in Physics; or Chemistry; or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Nuclear Engineering/ Reactor Engineering

Consultant Grade- II( Intonational Cooperation) : Master degree in the field of Science/Disaster Management/ Two Years PG Diploma in Disaster Management or any other discipline However Preference ill be given to person having Master degree in International  Relation/cooperation or related field.

Consultant Grade -ll (Mock exercises &Incident Response System) : -Candidate should in a possession of Master’s Degree in Disaster Management/related field.

Consultant Grade -ll (Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction ) : Master Degree in Science/ Social Science/ Disaster Management Two years Diploma in Disaster Management

Consultant Grade-l/ Grade-ll (Earthquake and Tsunami) : Master in Technology/Engineering in Structural/Earthquake Engineering. Persons with Post Graduate qualification in Civil Engineering, Seismology, Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography and Geology will also be considered if accompanied by proven expertise and experience in the Earthquake and Tsunami Risk Reduction

Consultant Grade-l/ll (Cyclone) : Master’s degree ln Civil Engineering / Climatology/ Meteorology/ Coastal Engineering/ Ocean Engineering/ Oceanography. Experience in the area of Disaster Risk Reduction related to Cyclone and Coastal management, is required.

Consultant Grade-l (Chemical) : BE,/B.Tech or Master’s Degree in relevant subject (Chemical
Engineering,/ industrial Engineering/Chemistry/ Disaster Risk Management related to Industrial & Hazardous material.

Consultant Grade-l (Operations) : Candidate should in a possession of Master’s Degree in Disaster Management or related field. Or Retired Government employee with Grade Pay of Rs.8700 (Pre revised/Level-13 (7* CPC) and above with minimum experience of 7 years in the relevant field.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), headed by the Prime Minister of India, is the apex body for Disaster Management in India. NDMA is mandated to lay down the policies, plans and guidelines for Disaster Management.
