KZN Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Learnerships

The KZN Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) is offering 12-month learnership opportunities for young unemployed South Africans in KwaZulu-Natal. Applications are now open for the 2024 Learnership Programme.

Learnership Duration:

• 12 months (Successful applicants will receive a stipend as per the Department of Public Service and Administration’s directive on youth development programs).

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a South African citizen residing in KwaZulu-Natal.
• Unemployed and between the ages of 18 – 35.

NQF Level Requirements:

1. NQF Level 02/03:
   • Must have AET Level 4/Standard 7/Grade 9/10 or
   • Completed and deemed competent in NQF 1/2 in Animal/Plant Production.
2. NQF Level 04:
   • Must have Grade 12/Standard 10 with English, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences.
   • Completed and deemed competent in NQF 3 in Animal/Plant Production.
