An Air India flight, en route from Delhi to Chicago, was forced to divert to Canada after receiving a bomb threat on Tuesday. The threat was sent via social media.
This is the second bomb threat reported today which brings the total to five such incidents involving flights in the past two days. According to a statement from Air India Express, several operators have been targeted by threats from an unverified social media account.
Authorities are investigating the source of the threats. All passengers on the diverted flight are safe.
