Approved for the R350 Grant But Haven’t Received Payment Yet? Here’s What You Can Do.

If you’ve been notified that you’re eligible for the R350 grant but haven’t received any funds yet, you’re not alone—many others are in the same situation. SASSA is currently facing a significant backlog regarding this grant.

There is over R700 million in R350 grants that still need to be distributed to eligible beneficiaries. Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu explained that the delay is due to SASSA needing to confirm applicants’ eligibility.

SASSA has stated on social media:

“Payments are in progress; all approved applications that have not yet received funds will be processed.”

It’s important to note that there isn’t a specific payment date for this grant, so funds will be disbursed as they become available.
