Engineering Learning Programme:
Barberton Mines provides N2-qualified students the chance to gain relevant trade certification through a limited-duration contract.
Requirements:
- South African citizenship
- N2 or higher qualification in a trade relevant to the mining industry
- Strong communication skills
- Supervisory, management, and leadership skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Minimum 60% pass rate for final-year subjects (no failed subjects)
- Valid medical fitness certificate within 21 days of offer acceptance
- Clean criminal record (Security clearance certificate required)
Experiential Learning Programme:
Barberton Mines offers TVET college final-year students the opportunity to gain practical work experience over a 2-year contract period.
Requirements:
- A letter from your tertiary institution confirming the need for in-service training
- Studying towards or completed N4 qualification
- Minimum 60% pass rate
- Good communication skills
- Medically fit
