False Bay TVET College Celebrates Clean Financial Audit Achievement
False Bay TVET College Achieves Clean Financial Audit for 2024/2025
Cape Town, South Africa – False Bay TVET College has once again proven its reputation as one of the country’s leading Technical and Vocational Education and Training institutions by securing a clean financial audit for the 2024/2025 financial year.
This milestone underscores the College’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and sound financial management.
The Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) — the independent authority mandated to assess public institutions’ financial governance — conducted a rigorous review of the College’s records from March to May 2025. Their final report confirmed that False Bay TVET College met the highest standards of compliance with no material misstatements.
A clean audit is regarded as one of the most credible endorsements a public institution can receive, reflecting effective governance, strict regulatory compliance, and public trust.
“Achieving a clean audit is a testament to our unwavering collective commitment to the responsible stewardship of public funds,” said Ms. Charlene Matthews, Acting Principal of False Bay TVET College. “On behalf of College Management, we thank all staff for their support and affirm that this clean audit will be the first of many more to come.”
Consistently achieving clean audits enhances the College’s standing with government, industry, and development partners. It also assures stakeholders of ethical leadership, strong financial controls, and efficient resource management.
