Scholarship Options
Institutional Scholarships:

Dean’s REACH Scholarship Award Program:
This need-based scholarship provides four-year funding to selected MD students demonstrating Resilience, Excellence, Achievement, Compassion, and commitment to Helping the underserved.
Candidates are nominated by the Committee on Admissions, and decisions are made in early March.
General Restricted Scholarships:
HMS shares endowed scholarship funds with other parts of the University, and the Harvard University Committee on General Scholarships administers these multi-school funds.
HMS students may be nominated to receive a portion of these funds, though the total scholarship amount typically remains unchanged.
Resident Tutor Policy:
Students who serve as Resident Tutors at Harvard College receive free housing and meals. These benefits are considered part of the student’s financial aid package.
MD-PhD Funding:
For students pursuing a dual MD-PhD, funding usually covers the full cost of attendance. If there is a shortfall, students can apply for student loans to meet any remaining needs.
