Is There Anything I Can Do Now?

The Central Application Clearing House (CACH) is a platform designed to help Grade 12 graduates who are seeking placement at a university, university of technology, or TVET college at the start of the academic year.

Institutions and Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) access the CACH database to find students who meet their criteria. If a student is eligible and a space is available, the institution will contact them directly after they’ve accepted an offer through the CACH system.

CACH is an option for students who applied on time for post-school education but either didn’t receive a placement offer or haven’t heard back from the institutions they applied to. However, it’s important to note that CACH doesn’t guarantee a spot, so applying early, preferably a year in advance, is always recommended for higher education opportunities.
