Introducing the New NBT Preparation App

A South African educational company has been actively conducting workshops and courses to assist learners in preparing for the National Benchmark Tests (NBTs). Recently, they have introduced an NBT preparation app designed specifically for students.

Traditionally, prospective university students relied on support from their teachers, tutors, and parents to get ready for the NBTs. However, in 2013, the Advantage Learn Technology team recognized that many learners were struggling with their NBT preparation.

In response, they developed and launched their first series of workshops and courses focused on NBT readiness, marking the beginning of a successful journey.

In an interview, Christopher Muller, the Director of Advantage Learn Technology, noted that the company helped over 5,000 learners prepare for their NBTs in 2019 alone.

Over the years, Advantage Learn has established partnerships with several schools nationwide. One significant collaboration began in 2013 with Cornwall Hill College in Gauteng. Jenny Koster, the Head of Physical Science at the college, reported that feedback from students has been overwhelmingly positive since they implemented the Advantage Learn NBT Course.

After completing and passing these assessments, students gain a clear understanding of their preparedness for university.

For the 2022 intake, NBT registrations opened on April 1, 2022, with tests scheduled from June 5 to October 2, 2022.

NBT testing sites are available throughout the country and in several SADC nations, including Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
