ToggleRequired Documents for SRD SASSA Grants Application
For the R350 grant (Social Relief of Distress grant), you are not required to submit physical documents. The Department of Social Development and SASSA have indicated that:
- SASSA will verify personal information online through alternative electronic methods, meaning no physical documents are needed.
- For South African citizens, you’ll need to provide your South African ID number, and for refugees or asylum seekers, your Department of Home Affairs Refugee permit number is required.
Please note that these requirements may change, so it’s advisable to regularly check the official SASSA website or contact a SASSA representative for the latest information.
By having the necessary details ready, you can ensure a smoother application process and avoid delays.
Additionally, if your grant application (including Child Support Grant) is rejected, SASSA provides an option to appeal. Click here to access the SRD appeal link.
