Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities :
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Overseeing production processes, maintaining equipment and facilities, ensuring quality control, managing inventory and supplies, implementing safety protocols, and developing and implementing strategies to increase production and profitability.
Planning, formulating and controlling the production activities
Manage factory budget
Implement and maintain operational strategies
Health & Safety – ensuring the production and safety standards are in compliance
ISO and Quality management
Working in line with the company policies and procedures
Excellent communication skills and isiZulu is a great advantage
Additionally, the function is responsible for leading and motivating staff, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment.
Desired Experience & Qualification :
Skills and Qualifications:
A qualification in Engineering/chemical engineering or Business Administration.
A Project Management qualification would be advantageous.
At least 6 years of practical experience in an industrial process plant, including knowledge of boiler operations.
Including at least 5 years of experience in leading a management team.
At least 5 years experience in safety management and quality control systems.
Knowledge and expertise in respect of the OHS Act AND regulations.
Knowledge and expertise in respect labor legislation, and disciplinary inquiries.
Computer proficiency using MS Office suite.
