Electronic Design Engineer (PCB/Sheet Metal)
Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
The Electronic design engineering position, working on research and development of new products, local and international manufacturing processes and global engineering sales requests directed through the engineering request process.
Product design and development.
Prepare drawings based on engineering design inputs.
Read and interpret design drawings.
Schematics interpretation.
Research development for design improvement.
Electronic, PCB and component design & development.
Hardware design with high focus on quality and reliability.
Lead design testing of new developments including EMC.
Create PCB testing procedures.
Work in alongside software developers in designing the software specifications and requirements.
Conduct engineering investigations, including root cause analysis.
Support African production as required.
Liaising with Australian Production and Engineering teams.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum B-Tech or Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Minimum 5 years Electronic Engineering experience in Analog Circuit design, Switch mode Power supply Design and Arduino development.
Minimum 5 years Electronic Design engineer with PCB experience essential.
Sheet Metal experience.
Software experience, particularly in C, C++.
Worked in a lead role or can show leadership ability.
The focus of this role is in doing the actual engineering requirements / work. Thus, we need a candidate that will be willing to do the work and not be looking for a promotion into management or being management focused.
