Goldi – Refrigeration Foreman

Job Description

Duties :

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

· Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on the ammonia refrigeration.

Plants and equipment (Mechanical & Electrical).

· Attend to breakdowns on plant and equipment.

· Training of artisans and operators to run an efficient refrigeration plant.

· Ensure plants and refrigeration equipment are properly and safely maintained.

· Ensure air compressors are properly and safely maintained.

· Issue and close out work permits.

· Identifying critical spares requirements.

· Site water reticulation and filtration maintenance.

· Work closely with major suppliers and manage SLAs

· Site water chlorination maintenance.

· Compliance with the requirements of the OHSACT.

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

· Must be a qualified Electrician/Fitter/Millwright with 10 years working experience in poultry abattoir

· 5 years supervision experience in planned routine and preventative

maintenance. (Foreman level)

· Experience in the safe operation of ammonia plants (CAT B8 registered)

· Experience in the Food Processing Industry would be an added advantage;

· Must be computer literate and have good communication skills;

· Must be self-disciplined and self-motivated;

· Must be able to work overtime, weekends and public holidays if necessary.
