Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation:

Identify and generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, referrals, networking events, online research, and partnerships with local businesses.
Utilize CRM tools to manage leads and track sales progress.

Consultative Selling:

Conduct in-depth consultations with potential customers to understand their energy needs and evaluate their property’s solar potential.
Present the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact, and potential government incentives.

Sales Presentations:

Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations tailored to customers’ specific requirements and energy consumption patterns.
Explain the installation process and address any concerns or objections customers may have.

Proposal Development:

Prepare comprehensive proposals outlining recommended solar system designs, equipment specifications, financial analysis, and estimated return on investment.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.

Negotiation and Closing:

Effectively negotiate terms and pricing to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring profitability.
Overcome objections and address customer concerns to facilitate closing sales contracts.

Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the sales process.
Provide excellent customer service, address inquiries, and manage post-installation follow-up for customer satisfaction and referrals.
Market Research:

Stay updated on solar industry trends, market dynamics, competitor activities, and government policies.
Continuously enhance knowledge of solar technology advancements and industry best practices.


Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, installation, and project management, to ensure a seamless transition from sales to installation.
Communicate customer requirements and provide necessary documentation for successful project execution.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven track record in sales, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
Strong understanding of solar energy systems, benefits, and underlying technology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to deliver persuasive sales presentations and address customer objections.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Self-motivated and target-driven with the ability to work independently.
Proficient in using CRM tools and sales software.
Ability to analyze energy consumption patterns and provide accurate system sizing recommendations.
Knowledge of local regulations, incentives, and financing options related to solar energy is a plus.
A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
