Job Description
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and maintain safety systems, policies, and procedures that comply with legislation and company standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Provide safety training and education to employees.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to drive safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety awareness.
Stay updated with the latest safety regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements:
Grade 12
Engineering Trade Certificate
Diploma in Safety Management
COMSOC/SAMTRAC
5 years mining or plant experience as a Safety Officer in the Mining Industry.
Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSASA 18001, SHE System, Risk assessment.
Experience in conducting safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Valid driver’s license.
