Job Description
Responsibilities:
– Design, analyze, and evaluate structures to ensure they meet safety and building code regulations
– Collaborate with architects, construction teams, and other stakeholders to develop structural designs that meet project requirements
– Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for construction projects
– Conduct site visits and inspections to assess the condition of existing structures and recommend repair or reinforcement measures
– Stay current on industry trends and developments to incorporate new technologies and best practices into projects
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred
– PrEng/PrTech required
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering
– Must be able to speak isiXhosa fluently
– Must be willing to engage in business development
– Must be willing to relocate to East London
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
