Job Description
Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of the cold store warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping of products
Ensure efficient and accurate inventory management, including regular stock takes and cycle counts
Implement and maintain food safety standards and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations
Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency
Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring high levels of performance and productivity
Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including inventory levels, order accuracy, and on-time delivery
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate warehouse activities and support production schedules
Implement and maintain health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff
Requirements:
Proven experience in managing a cold store warehouse in the food production industry
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with warehouse management software and systems
Forklift and other relevant certifications are a plus
3 to 5 years of experience in sales roles in FMCG – preferably wholesale / Distributors, and/or Foodservice
Able to read reviews, forecast numbers, etc.
