Job Description
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine maintenance on earthmoving equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and wheel loaders
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with equipment
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment functions properly and avoid costly breakdowns
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on equipment
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of equipment
Comply with all safety regulations and ensure equipment is safe to operate
Requirements:
Grade 12
Diesel or Earthmoving Equipment Trade Test Certificate
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Earthmoving Mechanic in the mining industry
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues with heavy-duty equipment
Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures for earthmoving equipment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to work in a remote mining location in the Northern Cape
Benefits:
Salary: R500K-R700K per year
