Fitter – Mining Industry – 12 month fixed term contract

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical equipment
Repair and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly
Install, assemble, and dismantle machinery and equipment as needed
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
Work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment inventory

Requirements:

Grade 12
Trade Test Certificate in Fitting
First Aid Certificate
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Fitter in the mining industry
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to work in challenging and dynamic environments

Benefits:
