Mechanical Engineering Foreman – Mining Industry

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanical engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff
Plan and schedule maintenance activities for mining equipment and machinery
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems, and implement solutions to prevent downtime
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment
Manage inventory and procurement of spare parts and materials
Provide training and mentorship to junior staff
Prepare reports and documentation on maintenance activities and equipment performance
Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and best practices

Requirements:

Grade 12
Trade Test Certificate
Knowledge of Plant operations and Plant Equipment
5 years of experience in the mining industry with 2 years in a Foreman capacity

Benefits:

Salary: R800K-R900K per month
