Estimator – Mining Industry

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Manage external reconditioning at suppliers
Assist end-users with warranty claims and provide expert advice
Expedite outstanding RFQs and purchase orders with suppliers
Ensure necessary PODs are obtained and submitted
Track late orders as priority and continuously to ensure deliveries are made
Track, communicate, and confirm deliveries
Arrange transport for deliveries
Ensure that normal and abnormal recon spares transportation to and from the mine is installed and coordinated with the end-user suppliers, colleagues, and transport contractor
Arrange collection of special and large equipment at suppliers to eliminate excessive handling
Communicate special instructions to expeditor and transport contractor regarding sensitive spares, to prevent damage

Requirements:

Grade 12
Technical qualification, e.g. Trade Test Certificate
Certificate in Procurement and Supply Chain Management
3-5 years of Technical Purchasing and Supply experience within the mining industry
Warehouse knowledge and experience
HIRAC experience

Benefits:

Salary: R360k-R400k per year
