Job Description

Responsibilities:

Conduct pre-employment medical examinations for new employees.
Provide medical treatment and care for employees who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses.
Conduct periodic medical examinations for all employees in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Develop and implement health promotion programs to improve the overall well-being of our workforce.
Advise on workplace health and safety issues and recommend measures to prevent injuries and illnesses.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all employees.
Coordinate with external medical providers and specialists as needed.
Participate in emergency response drills and help develop emergency medical procedures.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in occupational health and safety.

Requirements:

Grade 12
Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery
Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine and Health
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Occupational Medical Practitioner in a mining or industrial setting.
In-depth knowledge of local occupational health and safety regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license.
