Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities :

Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients and assess trends in the South African Solar C&I sector.
Competitive Analysis: Analyse competitor activities and market demands to devise effective business development strategies.
Client Acquisition: Actively pursue and identify new business opportunities, emphasizing the sale of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within target client organizations.
Proposal Development: Collaborate with technical and financial teams to craft compelling proposals for clients, focusing on PPA solutions.
Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with potential clients to secure profitable contracts.
Networking: Utilize existing professional networks within the South African region C&I industries to expand business relationships.
Industry Engagement: Attend conferences, seminars, and events to broaden networks and stay informed about industry developments.
Reporting: Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights to the management team.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Matric
Degree in a business or technical field of study
C&I Solar Industry experience
Experience with financing/trading/wheeling within the renewable energy industry
Experience in Project Management
Willingness to travel
