Duties & Responsibilities :
Key performance areas:
Involved in the smooth running and optimization of the equipment and plant.
Perform Electrical Systems Upgrades
Performs condition monitoring on equipment and machinery
Analyse the efficiency of equipment and machinery
Performs planned and unplanned maintenance on all electrical and electronic equipment and machinery, including Semiens drives.
Desired Experience & Qualification
The successful candidate must have:
Matric with a S4/N6 Electrical Engineering qualification or an equivalent qualification
A least 5 years relevant experience in an engineering/manufacturing/ and production environment.
Must be able to Setup, Program and do Faultfinding on S5/S7 Siemens PLC, Siemens Master Drives and Intouch HMI systems.
Must have Siemens PLC experience or similar system.
Instrumentation experience will be advantageous
Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic drawings and diagrams.
Must have Supervisory skills, with the ability to transfer knowledge to students and apprentices.
Must be self-motivated
Must have excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
Must be able to work in a team as well as individually
Must have a good work-ethic with sober-habits
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able and willing to perform standby and call out duties
Must have a valid driver’s license with own reliable transport
