Duties & Responsibilities :

Key performance areas:

Manage changes to the project scope as and when needed
Measure project performance using appropriate techniques
Report and escalate risks to management as needed
Perform risk management assessments to identify and minimize project risks
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Ensure resource availability and allocation of internal and external resources
Timeous and effective communication of Customer expectations
Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders
Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Establish and maintain relationships with all relevant stakeholders
Provide input on new processes and workflows as needed
Focus on ensuring we maintain superior customer service levels, operational excellence and strategic insight
Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time
Populate and manage project stakeholder engagement plans
Attend Customer scheduled meetings, which may from time to time include extensive and/or overnight travel both locally and internationally.
Continuous Risk and Project Gap Analysis, escalations, and management of mitigation plans
Continuous improvement of project implementation approach, engagement and reporting
Implementation and Standard Operating Procedures
Overall responsibility of Projects for the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of project milestones.
Support and co-ordinate the technical and logistics set up for the Technical, Logistics and Support Teams
Presentation of Customer Project Reviews and Program Performance Reviews
Set-up and facilitate relevant project stakeholder engagement meetings
Continuous review of Project Goals, Milestones and Deliverables

Desired Experience & Qualification

The successful candidate must have:

Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology / Project Management / Risk Management / Industrial Engineering
5- 8 years relevant working experience in a similar position
Knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE 2, Agile Scrum, Waterfall etc. will be advantageous
Computer literate – (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must have proven management, commercial or transport risk experience
Experience with complex program implementation (multiple projects and technology implementation)
Must have knowledge of quality assurance processes and systems
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have knowledge of applicable financial legislation, budgeting and reporting
Must have a valid driver’s license with own reliable transport
Must be willing to travel locally and internationally
