Job Description
Duties
Stock ordering for the business and oversight of all stock
Management of bulk stock as well as stock within fixed outlets and inter-company transfers
Ability to sustain stock levels during busy seasons and order stock for busier periods, large events, weddings and functions
Ability to sustain stock levels required and keep variety mix of stock for each business as required by market
Ability to create efficiencies between all departments that allow for cost savings for all
Responsible for the receiving of all food, beverage stock, cleaning materials, housekeeping items etc.
Maintaining costs and pricing to achieve set GP’s in order to create frequent stock reports for management.
Assisting with menu costings, updating and maintenance of stock items, recipes and production receipts on Micros and Opera
Purchase order creations and management
Managing, capturing and investigating of daily, weekly and monthly stock counts
Maintaining and forecasting of stock requirements for busy periods, events, weddings and conferences
Managing team at each business
Maintain relationships with suppliers
Full ownership of all aspects related to stock control.
Requirements
Diploma in business management or similar
5 years’ experience in a similar role within hospitality (non negotiable).
Experience working with Micros/Opera advantageous
Attention to detail
Computer literate in Microsoft packages
Able to work flexible hours where required
Well spoken
Analytical
Reporting directly to Finance Manager
Ability to commute/relocate to Nottingham Road, KwaZulu-Natal and will be required to work alternate Saturdays.
