Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Leading a team of engineers and technical staff to deliver high-quality engineering projects on time and within budget.
2. Developing and implementing engineering processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery.
3. Providing technical expertise and guidance to the team on complex engineering challenges.
4. Collaborating with other departments, such as product development and marketing, to align engineering efforts with overall business goals.
5. Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback and mentorship to engineering team members.
6. Identifying and addressing skills gaps within the team through training and development initiatives.
7. Managing resource allocation and project prioritization to ensure optimal use of team resources.
8. Monitoring and reporting on project progress, including identifying and addressing any potential roadblocks or issues.
9. Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
10. Representing the engineering team in meetings with stakeholders, clients, and partners.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
3. Strong technical expertise in relevant engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering.
4. Proven track record of successfully managing and leading engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
6. Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
7. Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in engineering.
8. Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
9. Certification or licensure in relevant engineering disciplines preferred.
