Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities :

An established company, within the rental industry, is looking for a qualified and experienced Code EC Truck Driver and Crane Operator.

Responsibilities:

Collections & Deliveries of materials, equipment, and poles, between yard, site and within the town
Operating crane, incl. cherry picker (man basket)
Assisting with the installation of cable
Assisting with installation of mini sub & mini sub plinth
Assisting with the planting of poles
Assisting with erecting of overhead lines
Truck & Equipment maintenance (incl. cleaning & storage)
Timesheets & Job Cards
Handling Logbooks
Ordering of diesel
Ordering of truck & crane parts when needed
General Yard Work

Minimum Requirements:

Valid Code EC (old code 14) license
Valid PDP license
Valid Operator Certificate for Crane – Minimum weight: 6100kg
English literate (Read, Write, Speak)
Minimum Grade 10 qualification
2 – 5 years working experience as a truck driver
2 – 5 years working in a Technical/Mechanical Environment
Good health & physically fit
Sober habits (no prior history of excessive drinking)
Willingness to work long hours/overtime/weekends
Positive attitude
Neat & Responsible

Safety conscious

Must be able to work with and without supervision
Punctual & good time management skills
