Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Earthstream Global is currently recruiting on behalf of an international IPP who are looking for a Director of Wind Technology.
Requirements:
Degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters would be advantageous).
Proven experience in wind technology, wind farm development, or a related field, with a minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience.
Knowledge of grid compliance and the grid code of South Africa.
GMR 2.1
In-depth knowledge of wind energy technology, wind turbine systems, and relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
Review and implement plant maintenance programs.
Continuously analyze and optimize the performance of existing wind technologies. Implement data-driven approaches to enhance efficiency, output, and reliability of wind turbines and related systems.
Review plant needs, failure analysis, emergency action plans, define plant improvements and encourage plant people to be innovative on their duties.
