Matric Results In South Africa

It’s that time of year again—matric results season is here!
The IEB results will be released first on 18 January, followed by an official announcement from the Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga, who will reveal the national and provincial pass rates that same evening.

Learners will be able to access their individual results the next day, around 12 noon on 19 January.

Your Matric Result is calculated using a combination of your school-based assessments (25%) and your final exam marks (75%).

There are several ways to access your results:

• Online

• At your school

• Via SMS or mobile phone

• In the newspaper

• Through the MatricsMate app
