Preparing Work-Ready Creatives

Preparing Work-Ready Creatives

Boston Media House believes that graduates should not only be prepared to work locally but also equipped to thrive on a global scale, especially in the media industry, where news, marketing, and products are often created and disseminated across borders. To support this vision, Boston has received international institutional accreditation from the British Accreditation Council, enabling its graduates to compete globally while still operating from their local context.

To enhance workplace readiness, universities must offer programs similar to those provided by the graduate support services department. Education has evolved beyond merely delivering academic content; it now encompasses comprehensive work readiness initiatives aimed at reducing South Africa’s alarming unemployment rate.

At Boston, students benefit from exceptional academic instruction while building meaningful relationships with their lecturers and administrative staff. This nurturing environment, reminiscent of a more traditional educational experience, ensures that students are recognized as individuals, not just numbers. By engaging with real workplace scenarios, students are better positioned to distinguish themselves in a competitive job market.

It’s essential for students to develop workplace skills that allow them to apply their academic knowledge in practical settings.

Recognizing that many adult learners and young adults may not have achieved a National Senior Certificate (NSC) or equivalent qualification but still wish to pursue higher education, Boston Media House has developed Gateway programs. These initiatives provide alternative entry routes equivalent to the NSC standard and assess adult learners’ capacity to succeed in specific programs, as supported by the Department of Higher Education & Training.
