Steps to Register for the National Benchmark Tests
How to Register for the National Benchmark Tests (NBTs)
Before you can take the National Benchmark Tests, it’s essential to complete your registration.
Here’s everything you need to know about the process.
To register, you’ll need to have your ID or passport handy, as you’ll be required to enter your ID number. Additionally, ensure you have a unique email address to receive updates and important information regarding the tests.
Before selecting your test date, check the application closing dates for the institutions you plan to apply to. If you’re unsure whether you need to take the NBTs, consult the university’s website for faculty-specific requirements.
If the NBTs are a prerequisite for your desired program, you can proceed to register online and book your test.
After booking your test, you will receive a confirmation letter of your registration.
This letter will include an EasyPay barcode for payment. Be sure to print the registration letter and barcode after clicking ‘submit.’
Next, visit a nearby EasyPay Paypoint with your NBT registration letter and barcode to pay the testing fees.
The fee for the Academic and Quantitative Literacy (AQL) test is R110, while the cost for both the AQL and the Mathematics (MAT) test is R220.
You can also make payments through the EasyPay website, but don’t forget to print your receipt after completing the transaction.
