The Central Applications Office (CAO) processes admission applications for all universities in KwaZulu-Natal. If you want to apply to Durban University of Technology (DUT), Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT), University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), or University of Zululand (UniZulu) for Semester 1, 2025, now is the time to apply!

How to Apply
Online Application
Visit the CAO website.

Read the guide on How to use the programme list.

Refer to the Summary of Codes Used to find your programme.

Use the Index to locate the page number of your programme.

Click on Apply at the top menu.

Select Apply Now.

Complete the application by filling in all required details.

Print the Declaration Form and Deposit Slip.

Pay the application fee at your bank.

Attach required documents and proof of payment to the declaration form.

Post or hand in the application package to the CAO offices.

Keep your receipt and note your CAO number and password to track your application.

Physical Application (Paper Form)
Go to the CAO website.

Download the Application Form.

Fill in all relevant details on the form.

Pay the application fee at your bank.

Attach required documents and proof of payment to the declaration form.

Post or hand in the application to CAO offices.

Enter your details and follow the prompts.

View your application status online.
