Application Deadlines
Medicine qualifications: Applications close on 30 June 2025
All other undergraduate programmes: Applications close on 30 September 2025
Late applications will NOT be accepted.
How To Apply at UKZN
Applications are processed through the Central Applications Office (CAO) Online system, which handles applications for multiple universities in the province.
Important:
South African applicants pay an application fee of R250
International applicants pay R300
This fee covers all applications made via CAO for universities in KwaZulu-Natal.

UKZN Application Fee and NSFAS
You must pay the application fee when submitting your application via CAO. If you plan to apply for NSFAS funding, indicate this on your application and you may request a waiver for the application fee.
