University of Law: Entry Requirements for Undergraduates

Degrees with Foundation Year (4 Years On Campus)
UK Entry Requirements:
48 UCAS points from a maximum of 3 A Levels or equivalent
GCSE English Language at Grade C/4
Applicants lacking the UCAS points but possessing a minimum of two years of professional experience and a reference may still be considered. All candidates must successfully complete a formal interview. Those without GCSE English Language at Grade C/4 must take The University of Law English Test (ULET). An English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or above is required.
International Foundation Programme

UK Entry Requirements:
English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.0 or above with at least 4.5 in each component. Students requiring a visa must provide the IELTS for UKVI test.
Accelerated LLB (Hons) Law

UK Entry Requirements:
A Levels: ABB
BTEC: DDM
UCAS Tariff Points: 128 (from three A Levels or equivalent)
Other qualifications include specific criteria for the International Baccalaureate, Access Diplomas, T-Levels, and Scottish Highers. For non-native English speakers, an IELTS score of 7.0 or higher is needed.
LLB (Hons) Law (including ‘Law with’ & Online)

Similar entry requirements apply for other qualifications, with GCSE English Language at Grade C/4 required.
Solicitor Apprenticeship (UK Solicitor Apprentices Only)

UK Entry Requirements:
A Levels: CCC
BTEC: MMM
UCAS Tariff Points: 96
Five GCSEs, including Maths and English Language at Grade C/4 or above, are also necessary.
Paralegal Apprenticeship

UK Entry Requirements:
A Levels: CDD
BTEC: MMP
UCAS Tariff Points: 80
Similar GCSE requirements apply as for the Solicitor Apprenticeship.
MLaw (Solicitors’ Practice)

UK Entry Requirements:
A Levels: ABB

UCAS Tariff Points: 128
Must possess GCSE English Language at Grade C/4.
Business

Degrees with Foundation Year (4 Years On Campus)
UK Entry Requirements:
32 UCAS points from one A Level or 40 UCAS points from two A Levels
Minimum Grade C/4 in GCSE English Language and Grade D/4 in GCSE Maths.
Three Year Degrees (On Campus)

UK Entry Requirements:
A Levels: BBC
BTEC: DMM
UCAS Tariff Points: 112.
Additional information for Accounting and Finance students who have completed ACCA or CIMA is also available.

English Language Requirements
For applicants whose first language is not English, various qualifications are accepted as alternatives to IELTS. Specific scores are required depending on the course, generally ranging from 5.5 to 7.0, with minimum component scores also stipulated.
