The Sherryl Kintu Scholarship
This scholarship is available for all undergraduate degrees, excluding apprenticeship programs. Established in memory of Sherryl Kintu, a dedicated member of Global University Systems who championed the entrepreneurial spirit of Black women in the arts, this scholarship offers a full-fee award for students starting their courses in September 2023. Eligibility criteria include receiving an offer for one of the undergraduate programs, meeting the Widening Participation criteria, achieving the highest score in the online assessment, and demonstrating passion, drive, and business acumen in the personal statement.
The University of Law Undergraduate Bursary
Available for all undergraduate degrees except apprenticeship programs, this bursary is designed to provide extra financial support for new full-time students with a household income of “zero,” as assessed by the National Student Finance service. Awarded at £1,000 per academic year (excluding any year-long work placements), the bursary is dependent on maintaining a zero household income in subsequent academic years. Eligibility requires receiving an offer for an undergraduate degree, not holding an undergraduate degree already, being a UK resident, and having household income assessed as zero by the National Student Finance service. No separate application is needed; students should apply for Student Finance and consent to the household income assessment.
These are just a few examples of the scholarships available at the University of Law. Importantly, the university has designed its scholarship process to allow students to submit a single application to be considered for all relevant awards.
