County Fair – Senior Creditors Controller

Job Description

Duties :

Astral is a leading Southern African integrated poultry producer with an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Creditors Controller to join our Finance department.

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

Reviewing and approving of supplier account reconciliations
Reconciliation of statements
Matching and capturing invoices
Liaising with suppliers and procurement
Following up on outstanding items with various suppliers
Keeping a clean age analysis of accounts
Uploading of payments
Assist in preparing monthly control account reconciliations
Maintain sustainability reports on a monthly basis
Journal imports (monthly accruals)
Prepare reports as required by Creditors Supervisor
Stand in for the Creditors Supervisor when on leave
Take responsibility to follow up and resolve all items on GRYNIA
Ad hoc administrative functions and switchboard relief
Actively participate in the 20 Keys programme or any other continuous workplace improvement or company initiatives.
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

Matric or equivalent qualification

Must have at least 3-5 years Creditors Controller experience in an FMCG environment
Computer literacy with intermediate Excel
Self-motivated with the ability to meet pressurized deadlines and maintain strict attention to detail
Working knowledge of an ERP system, with experience of the LN system an added advantage
Accounting experience/qualification will be an added advantage
Must be able to work independently, with the ability to meet pressurized deadlines and maintain strict attention to detail
Must be able to work overtime when necessary
Fluent in English and an additional official language
