Duties & Responsibilities

As a Technical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
Managing and overseeing our technical team
Proposing and implementing improvements to our business infrastructure
Monitoring and reporting progress on technical projects
Ensuring a seamless user experience for both customers and internal users
Writing IT policies to ensure compliance and security
Maintaining a high level of service in our ticketing system
Managing both physical and cloud-hosted infrastructure
Developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery plans
Ensuring security through IPS and firewalls
Managing and optimizing cloud costs
Maintaining mail flow protocols (SMTP/DKIM/SFP/DMARC)
Conducting root cause analysis for system issues
Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems
Managing telephony equipment, servers, and VoIP systems
Handling password and certificate management
Ensuring reliable last mile connectivity and redundancy
Understanding and managing internet protocols (ARP/TCP/UDP/ICMP/HTTP/HTTPS, etc.)
Managing networks, switches, firewalls, VLANs, servers, desktops, and BYOD devices
Monitoring all systems and servers for performance and uptime
Performing system upgrades and patch management
Overseeing infrastructure projects from planning to execution
Providing a smooth user onboarding and offboarding experience
Documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) and IT policies
Managing IT equipment purchases and maintaining IT asset registers
Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and contractors
Managing office access control and basic network management
Educating and mentoring direct reports through the IDP process
Evangelizing and educating company staff on security best practices

Skills & Experience:

A minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing corporate networks and/or live hosted infrastructure
Strong knowledge of networking and system administration fundamentals
Experience with scripting and automation (DevOps, PowerShell, bash, bicep, etc.)
Proficiency in supporting Azure AD, Microsoft365, and Intune or similar technologies
SQL Server Administration experience
Experience with Azure IAAS & PAAS or similar platforms
Excellent communication and people management skills
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure learning environment
Commitment and availability during work hours and emergencies
