Duties & Responsibilities

ENVIRONMENT:

A leading global fintech investor with a clear vision to create a world free from financial borders, fostering prosperity for all, is currently seeking a highly motivated Key Accounts Manager who will be responsible for cultivating, nurturing, and enhancing relationships with medium and large merchants, while also achieving annual sales and profit growth objectives. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a relevant field and possess a minimum of four years of experience in a key account manager position or in business development.

DUTIES:

Up-selling and cross-selling a wide range of the Company’s products based on merchant needs and strategic objectives,
Developing, drafting, and implementing an action plan that will ensure the achievement and enhancement of annual sales and profitability growth targets,
Retaining and profitably growing firm value, sales, and profitability through proactive management of assigned merchant relationships,
Leading a joint planning process that identifies relevant customer needs, wants and expectations and address these facets through the design of customized customer account plans,
Increasing the number of transactions and transactional value being processed through the introduction of fresh and innovative ideas to all merchants,
Maintaining excellent knowledge of the payments landscape in South Africa as well as in-depth knowledge of the Company offering both locally and through the centralized global platform,
Contributing to product strategy based on market knowledge and merchant needs,
Demonstrating ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization,
Operating as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your merchants,
Producing quarterly reviews and submit regular reports to management,
Maintaining excellent relationships with peers within the African markets,
Engaging with Global and Local merchants.

REQUIREMENTS:

Good working knowledge of payments and financial domain,
Minimum of 4+ years in a key account manager position or as Business Development,
Experience working in a global company across various geographies,
Experience managing and growing medium to large portfolios,
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in relevant field,
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once while paying strict attention to detail,
Experience working in a high paced, agile environment,
Experience with managing and leading a team,
Experience with high volume transactional systems would be advantageous.
