Duties & Responsibilities
Key responsibilitiess:
Commercial awareness and strategic partnering
Sourcing suitable applicants by pro-actively searching, advertising screening and shortlisting
Candidate and interview administration, management and reporting
Recruitment administration and reporting
Educational Qualifications and Experience
Relevant HR Degree/Post Graduate Qualification
Postgraduate Studies in HR would be advantageous
6-8 years’ experience specialising in recruitment of professional hires, with proven track record of recruiting for scarce skills and senior roles within the legal or professional services industry
Headhunting or targeted search experience
Extensive experience regarding modern sourcing/searching techniques, online recruitment portals and programmes and applicant tracking systems
Knowledge of the relevant South African employment legislation
Knowledge and Skills
Must have a dynamic and outgoing personality capable of engaging with “passive” candidates in the market place with a view to obtaining his/her interest in joining the firm, including cold-calling
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to juggle priorities and understand the urgency of all tasks, and completing such tasks without sacrificing quality or compromising on standards
Ability to work under pressure and deal with difficult customers
Ability to be assertive and tactful
Ability to sort and make sense of large amounts of data
Ability to come up with new ideas and have a commitment to solving problems
Have a flexible approach to an ever-changing environment and last minute variations/inputs
Have strong administration skills and organisational skills
Very strong focus on communicating and working with team
An eye for detail and desire to improve standards and deliver excellence
Ability to adapt to the firm’s culture and alignment to the firm’s vision and values
Willingness and ability to work overtime whenever necessary to ensure the successful completion of a project / task when needs arise
