Cost Accountant

Job Description

Duties :

Assist with budgeting, pricing, operational performance evaluations

· Focus on organizational costs, monitor spending, analyze data

· Cost control – materials, labour, overheads, inventory

· Oversee inventory control and variations in inventory

· Ensure legal compliance and policy adherence to maintain standards and ethical business practices

· Ensure that all costing metrics (dashboard) are implemented, monitored and managed

· Drive a culture of continuous improvement

· Prepare reports upon request to assist in calculating and tracking expense

Requirements :

· Grade 12 with Maths and Accounting

· Bachelors Degree in Accounting

· MBA will be an added advantage,

· 10 years in a similar role in a manufacturing environment,

· Proficient in MS Office, with advanced MS Excel,

· SYSPRO experience advantageous
