Job Description

Requirements:

Nursing degree/diploma
Registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Registered Nurse
Successful completion of Basic Infection Control Course and maintain ongoing certification
Current membership for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology Recognised Associations advantageous
Previous experience would be advantageous in a Health Facility/Hospital environment/public health facility

Duties & Responsibilities:

Knowledge of epidemiology and application of Public Health practices in an acute care Hospital environment
Demonstrated Clinical expertise and ability to teach and educate all stakeholders to combat disease transmission including (2) two years in a leadership capacity
Infection Control Practice, Clinical Nursing, Clinical Microbiology or Epidemiology, surveillance experience preferred
Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, effective organisational, interpersonal, customer service, time management and communication skills
Computer proficiency
