Requirements:

BCur Nursing degree/diploma
Current South African Nursing Council (SANC) registration mandatory
BTech in Occupational Health
Dispensing certificate
Expert knowledge of the, Mine Health and Safety Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act), Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and ISO/IEC 17020-201
Certificate in audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening
Computer proficiency – MS Office, SAP or similar
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Occupational Health

Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform all duties in accordance with South African Nursing Council (SANC), Department of Health (DOH) and National Core Standards
Ability to carry out examinations and procedures in term of the governing legislation for occupational health
Conduct all types of medical fitness assessments, pre-employment, transfer and annual and exit
Assist with primary health care management
Manage and appropriate referrals of minor injuries on duty
Performance of audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening and highlighting significant abnormalities to the Occupational Medical Practitioner
Assisting Clinic Manager with monthly reports and audits
Perform standby duties
