Job Description

Responsibilities:

Conduct air quality monitoring, noise monitoring, and other industrial hygiene assessments to identify and evaluate potential hazards in the workplace
Develop and implement strategies to control and manage exposure to hazards, including recommending engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment
Provide technical expertise and guidance on occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Communicate with employees, management, and regulatory agencies on occupational health and safety issues
Participate in incident investigations and help develop corrective actions to prevent future incidents
Keep abreast of new developments in occupational hygiene and recommend improvements to existing programs

Requirements:

Grade 12
Degree in Occupational Hygiene or similar
SAIOH registered
Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control
5 years of post-qualification experience in the mining industry

Benefits:

Salary: R1.2mil-R1.4mil per year
