Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement training programs for mining staff in metallurgy, mineral processing, and ore extraction techniques.
Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to ensure that staff are up-to-date with the latest industry standards and best practices.
Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to identify training needs and create customized training programs.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback from staff.
Maintain training records and provide reports to management on the progress and impact of training initiatives.
Stay current with industry trends and developments in metallurgy and mining practices to continuously improve training programs.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies during training activities.
Mentor and coach junior staff members to support their professional development in the field of metallurgy.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in metallurgical operations or mining industry.
Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs to mining staff.
Strong knowledge of metallurgical processes, mineral processing techniques, and ore extraction methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and training software.
Certification in training and development (preferred).


Salary: R600k – R650k
