Job Description

Responsibilities:

Review, drafting, evaluation and negotiating of commercial and general business contracts with Clients, Suppliers and Sub-Contractors;
Direct the Contract Management activities of project team members in the execution of projects;
Referrals and rebuttals as required for disputes;
Audit reports;
Minutes of meetings as required;
Expert knowledge and advice
Perform administrative tasks in contract management and implementation.

Requirements:

BCom Law or LLB
5-8 years experience in the Commercial Legal environment
Experienced with contract management and standard (FIDIC, NEC, JBCC, etc.)/ proprietary contract form
Expert knowledge of the family of New Engineering Contracts (NEC);
Extensive knowledge of the early warning and compensation event/ variation procedures;
Extensive working knowledge of the principles of design and construction projects
