Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement production plans to meet production targets while maintaining safety standards
– Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies
– Supervise and coordinate the activities of mining supervisors and operators
– Conduct regular inspections of mining equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning
– Manage inventory of mining supplies and equipment to ensure availability for production needs
– Develop and implement training programs for mining staff to enhance skills and knowledge
– Prepare and maintain production reports and documentation for management review
– Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure coordination and efficiency of mining operations

Qualifications:

– Grade 12
– Mine Overseer’s Certificate of Competency for Scheduled Mines
– 7 years’ experience in managing a deep shaft environment.
– Strong knowledge of mining techniques, equipment, and safety regulations
– Excellent leadership and communication skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
– Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and mining software programs

Benefits:
