Job Description

Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify materials, labor, and equipment requirements
Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities
Prepare and evaluate tender documents
Negotiate and procure subcontractor and supplier quotations
Monitor project costs and provide regular cost reports to project teams
Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions
Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
Prepare and evaluate variation orders and final accounts
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports

Requirements:

A relevant technical qualification and be registered as a quantity surveyor with a minimum of 8 years’ experience.
Experience in Built environment projects
Experience on an engineering construction site
An above-average understanding of contract management and knowledge of various standard forms of contract in construction and engineering
Willing to work on project sites
Strong problem-solving skills including excellent and proven client engagement ability
Strong analytical skills
Commercial astuteness
Experience with contractual claims
Mentoring and development of young talent
Previous experience working in WinQS and DimX
Ability to Travel
