This global household brand is looking for a Technical Accountant to join their team. Responsibilities:

IFRS compliance and implementation
Provide support regarding new IFRS standards
Liaison with stakeholders, communication to the JSE/sponsors, work with external auditors to address IFRS and financial statement inquiries
Preparation and reviews of Annual Financial Statements
Keep abreast of IFRS and reporting developments and pro-actively expand and deepen practical understanding and application of IFRS, ensuring knowledge transfer to the larger finance teams
Address accounting queries for IFRS
Support the investor relations team with technical queries on results and other ad hoc requests.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Completed CA(SA) accreditation is non-negotiable
5 to 8 years post articles experience in the commercial industry
Multi-currency experience is essential
Manufacturing, FMCG and construction industry experience is preferred
Previous experience with consolidations is advantageous
